WAKING THOUGHTS Dear Friend, As spring tees up towards a sundrenched swing, now is possibly the moment for a gentle stroll into the frothy enchantments of a Lisbon that was, seen through the bedazzled eyes of two remarkable lovers!    We are delighted to announce that tickets are now available for our latest production- WAKING THOUGHTS by our very own Jonathan Weightman SYNOPSIS 1787. Lisbon. Two men from different worlds meet and fall in love.  Willam Beckford and Gregório Franchi. We see them at work and at play in Portugal and later in England while Beckford's great Gothic revival masterpiece, Fonthill Abbey, rises and falls. The play follows their enduring relationship from their meeting on the steps of the Church of São Vicente - Franchi a young musician at Lisbon's Patriarchal church, Beckford a rich and multi-talented young Englishman - to their later lives, taking in the gay bordellos of London and the drab respectability of Bath.
